Used Electro-Voice PL33 Kick Drum Microphone
Drop it in the kick and let the low end hit. The Electro-Voice PL33 is frequency-contoured for a dialed-in kick sound (tight bottom, modified mid-range, fast transient response) so the beater snap and the chest-thump both land. A powerful neodymium magnet structure drives the output, the supercardioid pattern locks out cymbal and stage bleed for higher gain before feedback, and a fine-mesh Memraflex grille shrugs off abuse. Stadium kit, club stage, studio tracking room: and it doubles on low toms and bass cab.

Electro-Voice PL33 Features:
- Kick that lands — frequency contoured for tight low end, modified mids, and beater snap.
- Catch every hit — fast transient response keeps the percussive detail intact.
- Isolated from the kit — supercardioid pattern rejects off-axis bleed for higher gain before feedback.
- Strong, clean output — powerful neodymium magnet structure drives the signal.
- More than the kick — works on low toms and bass guitar cabinets too.
