Used 2005 Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded
This 2005 Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded plays and sounds fantastic! There are a number of small indentations on the front and back of the resonant mahogany body, though they may not all show up in the photos, but nothing extreme. The neck is a very comfortable fit and show light marks, but nothing that affect play. Fret wear is negligible. Original case included!
The 2005 Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded is a stripped-down, no-frills rock machine revered for its raw aesthetics, rich mahogany resonance, and incredible value. Introduced as a more affordable, workhorse alternative to the gloss-finished Studio and Standard lines, the 2005 model year sits in a highly desirable era for players who prefer a lighter, more tactile, and open-sounding instrument.
Key Specifications & Construction
- Body & Top: Solid mahogany back with a solid mahogany top. Unlike standard Les Pauls that feature a maple cap, the all-mahogany construction of the Studio Faded gives it a distinctively warm, dark, and mid-focused punch.
- Neck Profile: Typically features a comfortable, chunkier ’50s rounded profile or a medium “C” shape, paired with a traditional 12-inch radius rosewood fingerboard and 22 frets.
- The “Faded” Finish: Hand-rubbed, super-thin satin nitrocellulose finish without heavy grain fillers. It was originally launched to lower production costs, but guitarists love it because it allows the wood to “breathe” and resonate freely.
- Pickups: P.A.F. Burstbuckers.
