This vintage DOD FX56 American Metal from the 80s is in very good condition with some visible paint chips on the housing and degradation on the bottom and screws (see photos).
The DOD FX56 American Metal is a vintage high-gain distortion pedal produced from the late 1980s through the mid-1990s, designed to compete with the Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal. It is known for its aggressive, thick distortion that can lean into “chainsaw” or fuzzy territory depending on how the controls are set. Dial in the Level and Distortion then go from ‘doom’ to ‘boom’ by adjusting the Presence! All in a sturdy rockin’ purple housing!
