This vintage Maxon Roto Phase 2 from the 1970s is rated still in very good condition although there are a number of obvious places where the paint has chipped off. We are seeing some residue near the switch as well that could not be removed. Still sounds sweet!
The Maxon Roto Phase 2 is a vintage analog phaser pedal from the 1970s, noted for its optical circuit that delivers a warm, “syrupy” modulation. Often appearing in a distinctive blue enclosure, it is closely related to the original Roto Phase (also known as the “Phase Tone” or model No. 863) but is part of Maxon’s early evolution in effect pedal design. This phaser is housed in a wah-style treadle enclosure, allowing for real-time speed control. It features a side-mounted switch to adjust the speed range, offering everything from slow to fast modulation.
