This vintage Rockman Guitar Compressor just has a some very light markings on the top and bottom housing along with a bit of degrdation on the housing screws. Excellent condition for this 1990 unit!
The Rockman Guitar Compressor primarily functions as a high-quality instrument compressor but also includes a built-in pre-amp with a two-position Treble Booster that can reproduce the classic Rockman CLN2 sound. Works great on its own or with other Rockman half-rack units like the Sustainor and Stereo Chorus!
Features include:
- Direct Line Preamp: Features an adjustable Input Gain slider and an Output Volume slider, allowing it to act as a preamp for driving mixing boards, power amps, or the front end of a guitar amplifier.
- Treble Boost (CLN 2): Includes a two-position switch that can replicate the famous Rockman “CLN 2” setting, providing a mid-focused, punchy EQ curve ideal for iconic 80s clean sounds.
- Lead Leveler: A specialized circuit with ultra-fast attack and release times designed to provide evenness and clarity for solo guitar parts, which can be toggled via an external footswitch.
- Anti-Noise Circuit: Built-in noise reduction (a simplified version of the Rockman Smart Gate) helps eliminate the hiss typically introduced by high-compression settings.
