The Vox V9158 Pathfinder Combo Guitar Amplifier was a small, 15 watt solid state amp introduced by Vox in 1999.
Although solid state, this amp had an amazing tube like tone. In addition to gain, volume, treble, and bass controls, the V9158 also included tremolo and a gain boost button. These additional effects could be accessed remotely using the optional VFS2 foot switch. The jack for the VFS2 foot switch was located on the main control panel between the power switch and the tremolo controls.
An 8″ special design Vox “blue” ceramic speaker was mounted inside the open backed cabinet. The rear panel included a headphone jack.
It had all the Vox cosmetics right, including black basketweave vinyl, smaller -V-O-X- logo, brown Vox diamond grill cloth and a Vox branded strap handle.
