This vintage Rockman Sustainor has some obvious markings on the unit’s housing, especially on the top and bottom (see photos). The front panel looks very good, however, with just a few light marks. The plug has been replaced on the end of the hard wired power supply and it looks like some after-market rubber feet have been glued on. Everything functions as designed and graded very good condition overall.
The Rockman Sustainor Model 200 is vintage analog guitar preamplifier and effects processor (this one’s from 1988 per date stamp) developed by Tom Scholz of the band Boston, known for its unique compression and singing sustain. Boston band guitar sounds can be dialed in, especially when used in conjunction with other Rockman rack effects like compressors and stereo choruses. A very cool vintage unit!
